Chateau Ste. Michelle, the foremost North American Riesling producer, and Dr. Loosen, the highly acclaimed German Riesling estate, will host the third “Riesling Rendezvous,” an event designed to bring together leading Riesling experts and producers to explore the versatility of Rieslings from around the world. The three-day event features a grand tasting at Chateau Ste. Michelle winery in Woodinville, Washington along with panel tastings and breakout sessions held at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue. Chateau Ste. Michelle Debuts Harvest Select Riesling!

The premier New World Riesling producer Chateau Ste. Michelle will add its new Harvest Select Riesling to its extensive line up of highly acclaimed Rieslings. Shipping this week, the Harvest Select Riesling was produced to fill a niche with a consumer looking for a slightly sweeter style of Riesling. The wine will feature the new ‘Riesling Taste Profile” scale on the back label to help consumers better understand the wine’s ripe fruit style.

Chateau Ste. Michelle 2006 Canoe Ridge Estate Cabernet Named to Wine Spectator “Top 100”

Chateau Ste. Michelle’s 2006 Canoe Ridge Estate Cabernet Sauvignon placed #38 on Wine Spectator’s list of the “Top 100” wines of 2009. The magazine reviewed 17,000 wines during the past 12 months and selected “the most exciting” for their Top 100. It was one of nine Washington state wines to make this year's list. This marks the 15th Chateau Ste. Michelle Top 100 wine in the last 15 years and the third Canoe Ridge Estate wine to make the prestigious list.

Chateau Ste. Michelle and Erath Wineries Partner with Northwest Restaurants to Support Viticulture & Enology Programs at Washington and Oregon Universities

Chateau Ste. Michelle in Woodinville, Wash. is partnering with Washington and Oregon restaurants to support the second annual “Raise a Glass, Fund a Scholarship” program to benefit Viticulture and Enology programs at Washington State University. In Oregon, Chateau Ste. Michelle will join Erath Winery of Dundee and Oregon restaurants in supporting Oregon State University’s College of Agricultural Sciences program. Nearly 200 restaurants in Washington and Oregon are participating in the Raise A Glass, Fund a Scholarship program, which runs now through the end of December 2009. There’s no need to fear the powers of this monster…as Chateau Ste. Michelle’s Canoe Ridge Estate red winery fired up a new state-of-the art mog (material other than grape) removal system this harvest called the “Mog Monster,” becoming the first winery in the U.S. to use the new equipment on this scale.
