“This Malbec comes from our vineyard at Canoe Ridge Estate
and is an important blending tool for many of our high end red
wines. A special block at the vineyard produces such wonderful,
ripe Malbec that it deserves to be a solo act as well. This wine
offers bright aromas of pomegranate, cranberry and Rainier
cherry with hints of dried herbs. Expressive, racy red fruit fl avors
lead to a smooth fi nish. Try it with pork tenderloin and see if
you agree that it needs to take the stage over its big brothers
Cab and Merlot from time to time.”

Find Our Washington Wines
- Canoe Ridge Vineyard lies on a steep south-facing slope
on the north bank of the Columbia River in Washington’s
Horse Heaven Hills Appellation.
- The warm site benefits from the moderating effect of
the Columbia River and promotes uniform ripening and
excellent color development.
- Soils are sandy with bits of cobblestone and have low
water-holding capacity, enabling precise control of vine
growth through drip irrigation and canopy management.
- The site typically enjoys an early bud break and a long
growing season.
