2005 Cold Creek Vineyard Chardonnay
 2005 cold creek chardonnay
Tasting Notes

“This Cold Creek Chardonnay shows off the power and depth that typifies the vineyard. Fruit flavors of baked apples and lemon meringue open this wine. We used a slightly higher percentage of new oak because it gives this wine nicely integrated smoke and toast flavors on the finish. The structure and acidity insure a long life for those who choose to set down their Chardonnays a few years.”

The Vineyards
  • Planted in 1973, the south-facing Cold Creek Vineyard enjoys one of the longest and warmest growing seasons in Washington state’s Columbia Valley.
  • The low yielding old vines produce small clusters and small berries, resulting in intense varietal flavors.
  • The site’s weak, silty loam soils with low water holding capacity allow precise control of vine growth through drip irrigation and canopy management.
