What's on our Table Finding a wine that is readily available, a good value to price and under $15 is not easy...I hope my wine picks this past year have been helpful...My red wine selections (you know — the ones with redness) are: 2007: Chateau St. Michelle Columbia Valley Merlot.
Merced Sun-Star - August 23, 2011
The 2007 Chateau Ste. Michelle Columbia Valley Merlot is the real deal. Wine and Spirits gave it 93 points. It's available in all markets for around $11. This wine proves why reds from Washington are such great values. Buy a case or two. Cheers!

93 points - “Best Buy” Wine & Spirits - June 1, 2011
This shows the best aspects of the wonderful Washington 07's - energy, elegant fruit, persistence - adorned by a little bit of bottle age. It has taken on notes of carob, creosote and cedar, and it is those earthy, savory elements that give the wine tremendous complexity for the price. For a lean cut of meat, like skirt steak.
