87 points - “Good Value”  Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine - September 1, 2012

A textbook Merlot in a good many ways, this bottling from the Canoe Ridge Estate is a very supple, ripe-leaning wine that sports a nice sense of juicy young fruit. It is temperate in tannin and sufficiently soft at the edges to drink with steaks and chops in the immediate term, but its best lies a few years ahead and we recommend a short wait.
