The Horse Heaven is once again a very, very drinkable wine. It has flavors of cherry, chocolate, anise, and spices.

Supple, vibrant and appealing for its bright blackberry and cherry flavors, nicely shaded with spice and coffee notes. Lingers well.

A fine bottle - full, fleshy, immediately throwing out dense aromatics with toast and roasted coffee and bitter chocolate components. A deep vein of black cherry and cassis keeps the core tight and focused, and a small splash of Syrah adds the scent of black pepper.

The Canoe Ridge bottling is a more powerful style than usual. It is dry, full bodied, moderately rich, and slightly tannic, with a long finish, tasting of cassis, dried berries, toast, new oak, and humus.

This vintage marked the 16th year of life for these vines planted just downstream from sister winery Columbia Crest. They help build aromas of poached plums, stewed cherries, flint and a rocky road milkshake. It’s a rich delivery of black Bing cherry with boysenberry and strawberry, made more complex with mint leaf. Sturdy tannins, cassis and chocolate give it extension. Enjoy with robust meats such as venison.
