The 2003 Artist Series Meritage is a blend of Cabernet, Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot from the Columbia Valley. Each variety contributes a special attribute to the wine, resulting in a complex wine with sweet aromas of cinnamon and caramel, with refined tannins and rich concentrated flavors of cherry and boysenberry.

The 2003 Artist Series wine will be one of three labels available. Specific labels cannot be requested and are not guaranteed.

I found it remarkable, working with the coldest vintage in ten years in Washington state, that the elegance and finesse I strive for in this wine came from the warmer sites that are typically reserved for bigger and bolder styles. This wine offers layers of black cherry and spice aromas and flavors.

Considered the noble grape of Spain, Tempranillo has found a place here in the Columbia Valley. Showing best with a blending partner, Cabernet was added to augment the plum, bright berry and tobacco notes. The Wine is fresh with tight acidity, lean structure and rich barrel notes.

This majority Grenache blend (54%) is accompanied by Syrah (32%), Cinsaut (9%) and Mourvèdre (5%). Palate entry is focused and alluring, delivering an array of lush red fruits. In the cellar, select 500-liter puncheons were chosen to retain freshness and accentuate the lengthy finish.

Say hello to Grenache Blanc. Historically from the Southern Rhone, this wine is medium-bodied with flavors of ripe stone fruit. Most of the wine was fermented in stainless steel adding brightness, but a portion was fermented naturally in old barrels to give the wine density and complexity.

The 2018 vintage gave us a perfect combination of heat for ripening in the summer and a gradual cool down during harvest that allowed proper ripeness in the ideal timeframe. This year's blend is a special combination of Canoe Ridge Estate (39%), Cold Creek (26%), Kelly (18%), and Dineen (17%) Vineyards. The combination of warmer and cooler sites is the exact expression I look for in the Artist Series. The cooler sites provide dark cherry fruit, a touch of herbs and delicate harmony. The warmer sites give ballast and depth to add concentration and aging potential. This wine plays the perfect role of 'Old World' styling with "New World' structure.

This Provençal-styled rosé is crisp and dry with a lively character. The wine offers bright aromas of juicy strawberry and peach with underlying citrus and apricot flavors. Enjoy!

Snipes Mountain became Washington’s 10th official AVA in 2009, but first plantings of vines were as early as 1917. The steep terrain is decorated with boulders and gullies which generate brisk fog in the morning and intense sunshine in the afternoon. This Syrah is rich and concentrated. The fates aligned for the 2018 vintage and Indian Wells Vineyard Syrah. Growing conditions and fermentation went exactly as planned to create a wine that perfectly represents the rare combination of vibrancy, delicacy, and luscious fruitiness produced by only this vineyard and this vintage.

Boreal reflects elegance and structure. This Syrah was co-fermented with 3% Viognier, sourced from Archie Den Hoed Vineyards (54%) Canoe Ridge Estate Vineyard (32%) and Anna Marie Vineyard (14%). Specific to cooler sites, this wine showcases lifted floral notes, vibrant red fruits and delicate tannins.

For the Austral this year, we co-fermented a blend of Roussanne, Marsanne, and Viognier together in a barrel. The result is a seamless, rich wine. We layered tank-fermented Grenache Blanc and Roussanne for brightness while a touch more of Viognier from barrel brought ripe stone fruit and texture.

Characteristic vibrant red fruit and earthy leather of Sangiovese meld with raspberry jam and floral elements to create a wine that is fresh, nuanced and smooth.

By Adding 12% Syrah to our Cinsaut fermentation, we brought it to a whole new level. We retained the bright strawberry, anise, citrus, and characteristic freshness of Cinsaut, yet added depth and softness that make the wine more versatile and smooth.

Grapes sourced for this elegant dry-style Gewürztraminer are from vineyards in the cooler Yakima Valley. Aromas of pink grapefruit, linden and ginger linger in the glass. The wine was primarily fermented in neutral oak for 5 months to offer a luscious velvety palate with hints of coriander and clove.

Classic Zin characters of light raspberry jam and toast, I added just a touch of Syrah to fill out the palate but still keep the wonderful Zinnyness. Enjoy!

This wine highlights the broad range of wine that can be made with Syrah. These Syrah (90%) grapes were co-fermented with Viognier (10%) in the style of Côte-Rôtie in Northern Rhône region of France. The Viognier brings a delicate character to the Syrah and together they create a wine with notes of orange blossom, raspberry brambles and red currants.
