Review:
"While it’s just above the 'Best Buy' price range, Ste. Michelle doubled production and lowered the price of its Riesling off this historic vineyard from the 2012 vintage. Better yet, there’s been no drop in quality, having earned our top rating for the second straight vintage. Fascinating aromas of minerality, apricot, apple and white pepper don’t disappoint on the palate. There’s richness on the entry with delicious ripe pear and apple flavors, backed by river rock and finished with gorgeous juiciness that more than balances the residual sugar (2%). Ideal pairings would include Asian fare, crab, poultry or a fruit and cheese plate that includes Natural Viking Dill Garlic from the Washington State University Creamery"

Review:
"Bob Bertheau and his white winemaker, Wendy Stuckey, annually create this for their summer concert series, and this blend of Chenin Blanc (59%), Gewürztraminer (24%) and Riesling is a showstopper each day at the Woodinville tasting room. The influence of Gewürz shows immediately in the nose of orange oil, honeydew melon, rosewater and apple blossom. Bright flavors of pear and tangerine get an escort with an early burst of acidity that carries through to a finish of peach. The residual sugar sits just below 1%, which makes for a racy, fruity and refreshing drink."

Review:
"Best Buy! Wendy Stuckey sticks the landing once again with the Pacific Northwest’s — heck, the country’s — flagship dry style of Riesling. Beautiful and inviting aromas of lychee, mango, pear and lime don’t disappoint. There’s a quick burst of ripe tropical fruit flavors, followed by dried pineapple, Asian pear and Christmastime spices. The chemistry for this vintage is similar to the stunning 2012 — 0.72% residual sugar, 2.97 pH and 6.6 grams of total acidity — which plays out keenly in the finish of lime juice. That makes it intriguing and balanced. Suggested pairings include Asian fare, curries, Dungeness crab, scallops and creamy cheeses. And fortunately, there were 20,000 more cases than the previous vintage."

Review:
"If one existed, there’d be a long waiting list of vintners hoping to reach into Cold Creek Vineyard west of the Wahluke Slope. Instead, the grapes go primarily Bob Bertheau’s team, and the site picked out for Ste. Michelle by the late Walter Clore made up 85% of this bottling. Opulence oozes out of the aromas that feature black cherry, dark plum and crushed herbs along with barrel influence of brown sugar, clove, cocoa powder and coconut. The flavors are bold with currant and plum amid a sturdy, yet integrated, structure capped by Baker’s chocolate. It bodes well for the future but can be enjoyed now alongside prime rib rubbed with rosemary and thyme, a juicy T-bone topped by blue cheese or Death by Chocolate."

"Appearing lightly viscous in the glass, this pale-hued white offers an unexpected whiff of petrol (which we adore, sometimes lacking in other New World rieslings). The palate is sweet, but skillfully balanced with acid and peach-pit bitterness that keeps dried apricot flavors from becoming cloying."
