2017 Gewurztraminer and Pinot Gris "Spicy Pig" Blend
‘Gewürz’ means spice in German and P.I.G. is our three-letter code for Pinot Gris. So, our winemaking team lovingly refers to this wine as Spicy Pig! Pinot Gris fermented in tank adds notes of fresh apples and pears, while barrel fermented Gewürtraminer adds musky aromatics and a supple texture.
2017 Grenache Blanc Rattlesnake Hills
Historically from the Southern Rhone, this wine is medium-bodied with flavors of ripe stone fruit. Most of the wine was fermented in stainless steel adding brightness, but a portion was fermented naturally in old barrels to give the wine density and complexity
2016 Limited Release Dry Muscat Canelli
We picked some of the Muscat Canelli early this year and fermented it nearly dry to offer a light refreshing version, with a delightful effervescence. The wine has a blast of jasmine, rose, gardenia aromas followed by a nice bright mandarin spicy spritziness on the palate.
2016 Limited Release Canoe Ridge Estate Red Wine Blend
The combination of our Canoe Ridge Estate fruit with no varietal restrictions is one of my favorite blends to put together every year. Complex, elegant Cabernet Sauvignon (57%) mingles with the deep jam characters of the Malbec (29%). A touch of Cabernet Franc and Merlot (7% each) completes the wonderful mélange.
2016 Limited Release Cold Creek Cabernet Franc
Cabernet Franc from Washington State has been a real treat to discover. As a late ripening variety, the grapes develop rich bramble fruits while retaining delicate botanic characters. The dense but gentle balance of this wine makes it a perfect dinner companion.
2016 Limited Release Block 9 Cabernet Sauvignon
Once again Cabernet from Block 99 and 9B of the Indian Wells Vineyard stood out as special wines that required their own stage. We blended them together to create a wine with bright, juicy blackberry and tasted spice flavors and a smooth, weighty palate that is versatile enough to enjoy alone or with a hearty meal.
2015 "Rich Wheeler Block" Cabernet Sauvignon
This wine showcases vibrant character notes of ripe berries, violets and a long, velvety finish.
2015 "The Nod" Merlot
Merlot can sometimes be overshadowed by other varieties, but this one is no shrinking violet. With bold, dense tannins, saturated, deep color, and pronounced flavors of dark fruit and exotic spices, this merlot displays the extravagance and complexity that can only be achieved in Washington.
2017 Limited Release Pinot Blanc
Delicate but vibrant, Pinot Blanc is a sundress in a fresh layer of snow. Playful aromas of white flower and yellow peaches. Layers of forest herbs, and a gentle texture. Finished crisp.
2016 Limited Release Boreal Syrah
Boreal begins with Syrah (94%) from Archie Den Hoed’s Yakima Valley vineyards. The cooler site, along with more canopy, give us grapes perfect for this lighter more delicate style. Co-fermented with Viognier (6%) from our Canoe Ridge Estate Vineyard for floral notes to pair with the bright red fruit.
2016 Limited Release Cabernet Sauvignon
Complexity was my goal for this vintage. I blended Cabernets from multiple blocks of four different vineyards spread throughout the AVA to create layers of chocolaty cherry and boysenberry fruit with intricate spices that evolve in your glass, while also staying true to the expansive yet smooth Horse Heaven Hills palate.
2016 Limited Release Cold Creek Red
Sometimes it’s great just to give it your best shot with one mixed fermenter! This entire blend is a co-fermentation of one of our best Merlots (76%) and our one jammy block of Malbec (24%). The Merlot had to “hang out” awhile and wait for the Malbec to be perfect, but it is worth the wait. Enjoy!
2014 Limited Release Cabernet Franc
The vineyard is one of the hottest in Washington, and helps the Cab Franc reach full ripeness year after year. Vintage 2014 was very hot, and the ripening season was quite long. This wine is full, plush, with moderate acidity and beautiful primary fruit shining through.
2014 Limited Release Cold Creek Vineyard Syrah
The techniques used to create this Syrah added layers of flavor and texture to the iconic profile of Cold Creek Estate Vineyard and created a wine that will evolve in your glass and your cellar.
2014 Limited Release Walla Walla Red Wine Blend
Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. At 53%, Cabernet Sauvignon has a slight majority over Merlot’s 47%, but numbers aren’t everything. Their parity of influence is evidenced by the seamless integration of broad and fine tannins, herbal and ripe fruit notes, rich viscosity and elegant lift.
2016 Druthers Cabernet Sauvignon
Continuing the eight-year tradition of our most ostentatious Cabernet, we crafted this wine just for Druthers. Old vine Cold Creek Vineyard Cabernet picked at its peak was pushed to the limit in fermentation and aged in the finest oak. The resulting wine has decadent flavors, a robust mouthfeel, and an endless finish.
2015 Limited Release Mourvèdre
Having a glass is like being invited into a grandparent’s study; you enter an inner sanctum of cozy, shadowed corners that cloak you in complex aromas of black fruit, bay leaf, and jasmine and settle you into a recliner of broad strapping tannins and flavors of roasted fowl and tobacco.
2017 Limited Release Austral White Wine
For the Austral this year, we co-fermented a blend of Roussanne, Marsanne, and Viognier together in a barrel. The result is a seamless, rich wine. We layered tank-fermented Grenache Blanc and Roussanne for brightness while a touch more of Viognier from barrel brought ripe stone fruit and texture.
2016 Limited Release Extended Aging Chardonnay
We hold some of our best barrels from the previous vintage to make this
Chardonnay. These barrels are 100% new French oak and were lees stirred once a month for 20 months. This extended time in barrel gives the wine time to develop complexity and integration.
2017 Mimi Chardonnay
Discover Mimi, a delicious Chardonnay sourced from the Horse Heaven Hills, including Chateau Ste. Michelle’s Canoe Ridge Estate Vineyard. Mimi is crafted in a lightly oaked, fresh style which allows the bright, elegant fruit to shine through.
2017 Limited Release Chenin Blanc
This wine is sourced from old vines in the Yakima Valley. The area is slightly cooler allowing for extended hangtime and riper flavor development. It shows classic Chenin Blanc characters of fresh melon and intense floral notes, with a crisp and refreshing finish. This continues to be one of my favorite wines.
2017 Limited Release Sémillon
Sémillon may be the most overlooked Noble Grape. It’s unique and it’s the backbone of great Bordeaux-style whites. In this vintage 64% of the wine fermented in neutral oak adding natural richness and 36% fermented in stainless steel to maintain vibrant flavors of fig, melon, and honey!
2017 Limited Release Muscat Canelli
A rich, sweet style of Muscat with unctuous flavors of ripe apricot and jasmine spice. For brunch, as an aperitif or after dinner, this wine is both versatile and decadent.
2017 Limited Release Jonté Sauvignon Blanc
The Jonté is a natural dancer. Ten percent barrel ferment provides the rhythm while aromas of green apple and white flower flitter into lively citrus and snap peas. The palate twirls between rich tangerine and tropical guava. Harmonized flavors and lush textures give this wine an elegant, long finish.
