2017 Gewurztraminer and Pinot Gris "Spicy Pig" Blend
‘Gewürz’ means spice in German and P.I.G. is our three-letter code for Pinot Gris. So, our winemaking team lovingly refers to this wine as Spicy Pig! Pinot Gris fermented in tank adds notes of fresh apples and pears, while barrel fermented Gewürtraminer adds musky aromatics and a supple texture.
2017 Limited Release Austral White Wine
For the Austral this year, we co-fermented a blend of Roussanne, Marsanne, and Viognier together in a barrel. The result is a seamless, rich wine. We layered tank-fermented Grenache Blanc and Roussanne for brightness while a touch more of Viognier from barrel brought ripe stone fruit and texture.
2017 Limited Release Midsummer's White
This summer blend is a refreshing mix of Chenin Blanc, Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Muscat Canelli and Semillon. The combination of different grapes gives this wine a wonderful crisp, spicy edge brimming with melon and ripe yellow peach flavors.
