2020 Limited Release Échange Cabernet Sauvignon
Making our first organic wine at Chateau Ste Michelle was an exciting and nerve-wracking experience for the whole winemaking team. It is a commitment that requires the attention of every single person in the winery to ensure the organic wine is kept wholly separate. All equipment must be specially cleaned before use and all safety nets to ensure wine quality are removed. It is a risky business where many things can go wrong, and we are all very proud of the result of all our efforts. Our organic wine was blissfully unaware of the stress and effort surrounding its upbringing and made its way calmly into the bottle with all its raw and unadorned beauty intact.
Of course, the first requirement is organic grapes. Our grape-growing partner faced the same challenges of isolating the grapes from all other farming operations, and the removal of safety nets to protect the grapes from disease and pests. We are very grateful to have such capable partners in our efforts to create a wine that highlights our values of sustaining the land, the wildlife around it, our community, and our wine region.

THE ART
Chateau Ste. Michelle’s Artist Series red wine celebrates the inspired collaboration between artisan winemaking and fine art. The 2017 vintage labels showcase artist, Tony Angell. His interest in birds began in childhood and he has continued to work and rehabilitate wild species, including birds of prey, crows and ravens.
THE WINE
The year 2017 was a warmer vintage, but not hot for Washington state. Early bud-break and a relatively cool spring allowed for a nice, full growing season into October. Looking for the fresher, more complex wines, we turned to our Canoe Ridge Estate vineyard. At 77% it is the largest this vineyard has ever been in the Artist Series; the site is maturing before our eyes, making the perfect combination of density and restraint. Another portion, 13%, is from Dean Canyon Vineyard, which is blended with Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon from Lawrence Vineyard (10%). This fruit brings color, weight and a touch of herb notes. This 25th anniversary vintage of Artist Series is going to be very special. Enjoy! - Horse Heaven Hills
2019 Canoe Ridge Estate Merlot
This stunning vineyard sits on a south-facing, wind-swept slope high above the Columbia River. The vines are planted in soils of flood deposits that are more than 10,000 years old. This complex and elegant wine has focused flavors and silky elegant tannins.Wine Enthusiast - Columbia Valley
2019 Limited Release Block 9 Merlot
Much of the fruit for our Block 9 Merlot is sourced from vineyards with particularly course, sandy soils. These conditions are seemingly lifeless and inhospitable, yet produce a wine with dark, sinewy layers of flavor and concentrated fruit. Light pepper notes provide a top-end flourish to accompany the long finish. - Columbia Valley
2018 Artist Series Red Wine 3-Bottle Set
The 2018 vintage gave us a perfect combination of heat for ripening in the summer and a gradual cool down during harvest that allowed proper ripeness in the ideal timeframe.
This year's blend is a special combination of Canoe Ridge Estate (39%), Cold Creek (26%), Kelly (18%), and Dineen (17%) Vineyards. The combination of warmer and cooler sites is the exact expression I look for in the Artist Series. The cooler sites provide dark cherry fruit, a touch of herbs and delicate harmony. The warmer sites give ballast and depth to add concentration and aging potential. This wine plays the perfect role of 'Old World' styling with 'New World' structure. - Columbia Valley
2021 Chardonnay
Our Columbia Valley Chardonnay is crafted in a fresh, soft style with bright apple and sweet citrus fruit character with subtle spice and oak nuances. We blend Chardonnay grapes from vineyards throughout Washington’s Columbia Valley to create this complex yet approachable, food-friendly style. - Yakima Valley

The 2020 Yakima Valley Red Blend brings together ripe brambly boysenberry, and black cherry on the nose, and doubles down on rich juicy berries and dark chocolate on the palate, along with subtle toasty oak. This wine is plush, with elegant tannins that create a beautiful silky mouthfeel. - Columbia Valley
Domaine Ste. Michelle Brut Rosé
Aromas of ripe strawberry with hints of apple and citrus. The initial impression is lively yet dry with subtle spice and berry flavors followed by an elegant, delicately sweet finish. - Columbia Valley
2020 Cold Creek Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
One of Washington’s oldest & most acclaimed vineyards. Character builds season after season in the growth rings of the old woody vines. Sun-drenched growing conditions with low rainfall result in small berries with full-bodied flavors. This Cabernet has broad-shouldered structure, concentrated fruit characters and deep color.Wine Enthusiast - Columbia Valley
Domaine Ste. Michelle Extra Dry
The Domaine Ste. Michelle Extra Dry is a slightly sweeter style of sparkling wine. With delicate aromas of orange and lemon zest, this elegant wine reveals flavors of apples and pears with a persistent column of bubbles. - Columbia Valley
2021 Cold Creek Vineyard Chardonnay
Planted in the 1970s, Cold Creek is one of Washington's oldest and most acclaimed vineyards. Early bud break and warm, dry growing conditions result in a greater concentration of flavors. The Chardonnay is decadent with ripe fruit intensity and a unique old-vine signature. - Columbia Valley
2021 Indian Wells Red Wine Blend
Specifically selected and carefully aged, this premier red blend highlights warm-weather vineyards with a robust palette of boysenberry and biscotti. - Columbia Valley
2022 Limited Release Grenache Blanc Columbia Valley
This Rhône-style white wine is full on the palate with a zesty finish. The majority was stainless steel fermented to highlight flavors of blood orange and jasmine. Wine from neutral barrels was blended in to provide body. - Yakima Valley
2022 Limited Release Viognier
Viognier is one of my favorite varietals to work with. This aromatic grape lends notes of citrus blossom, mandarin, honey and graham cracker. Fermented in neutral oak, you’ll find the perfect balance of fruit, texture and weight on the palate. - Horse Heaven Hills
2022 Limited Release Chenin Blanc
Like a chameleon, Chenin Blanc retains its distinctive identity, but also echoes its surroundings. This unique characteristic allowed the winemaker to capture a remarkable vintage and use wine from concrete, barrel and stainless steel to create the most complex wine possible with a balance of liveliness and lushness. - Columbia Valley
2020 Artist Series Red Wine 3-Bottle Gift Box
