Bacon, Brie & Berry in Puff Pastry
Recipe from our Chateau Kitchen
Ingredients
- 2 sheets puff pastry, store bought
- 1 large round brie cheese
- 1/2 cup blackberry or raspberry jam
- 8 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°F
- Remove puff pastry from the freezer and set out for 10-15min. till pliable.
- In the meantime, cut the brie round into 1” pieces. Make sure brie has rind on only 2 sides. If there is more than that, it changes the texture and flavor balance.
- When dough pliable open the folds so you have one large square. Roll out slightly with rolling pin, use flour on pin if dough is sticky.
- Use a sharp knife or pizza cutter to cut the large square into 16 smaller squares. Repeat with the second sheet.
- Press squares into a greased mini muffin tin. Fill each square with a piece of brie cheese, 1/2 teaspoon jam and crumbled bacon.
