2019 Ethos Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
Old vine concentration, high winds, sandy soils, and intense heat are the source of this Cabernet Sauvignon’s greatness. Combine that with hand crafted artistry and extreme attention to detail, and you have the perfect example of what makes Washington State and Chateau Ste. Michelle truly special.

2023 Ethos Reserve Chardonnay
This wine is a labor of love that requires months of tasting hundreds of individual barrels of Chardonnay to find the perfect balance of concentration and complexity. Ethos is crafted in an elegant style designed to entice your senses and captivate your spirit.

2018 Ethos Reserve Merlot
The 2018 vintage provided magical conditions to create a complex Merlot. Dineen Vineyard makes up 55% of this wine, and I added depth and texture with 45% old vine Cold Creek Vineyard Merlot. This Merlot encapsulates everything that is remarkable about Washington State Merlot made by Chateau Ste. Michelle.

The vineyard at Canoe Ridge Estate is home to 559 acres dedicated to producing elegant, refined wines with concentration and structure. 12 million years ago, a powerful river of lava carved what is today known as Canoe Ridge or alternately a bit of "Europe on the Columbia". 2018 Canoe Ridge Estate Merlot
This stunning vineyard sits on a south-facing, wind-swept slope high above the Columbia River. The vines are planted in soils of flood deposits that are more than 10,000 years old. This complex and elegant wine has focused flavors and silky elegant tannins.

This stunning vineyard sits on a south-facing, wind-swept slope high above the Columbia River. The vines are planted in soils of flood deposits that are more than 10,000 years old. Classic Chardonnay with stone fruit and citrus character is a balanced and fresh style.

This unique blend unveils fragrant aromas of graphite, pomegranate, sage, and cedar. It enters your palate with vibrant allure and leaves a silky finish, promising over 15 years of aging potential. Meticulously aged, it’s a masterpiece in texture and true artistry of Washington wine.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Moses Sun is an afro-abstractionist working in assemblage, painting, video, animation, and public art that explores the intersection of Pan-Africanism and the world's diasporas. Moses Sun fuses hip-hop, jazz, afro-futurism, and the black southern diaspora of his childhood into a mix of visuals that blurs the lines between digital and analog art.

The 2018 vintage gave us a perfect combination of heat for ripening in the summer and a gradual cool down during harvest that allowed proper ripeness in the ideal timeframe.

This year's blend is a special combination of Canoe Ridge Estate (39%), Cold Creek (26%), Kelly (18%), and Dineen (17%) Vineyards. The combination of warmer and cooler sites is the exact expression I look for in the Artist Series. The cooler sites provide dark cherry fruit, a touch of herbs and delicate harmony. The warmer sites give ballast and depth to add concentration and aging potential. This wine plays the perfect role of 'Old World' styling with 'New World' structure.

THE ART
Chateau Ste. Michelle’s Artist Series red wine celebrates the inspired collaboration between artisan winemaking and fine art. The 2017 vintage labels showcase artist, Tony Angell. His interest in birds began in childhood and he has continued to work and rehabilitate wild species, including birds of prey, crows and ravens.

THE WINE
The year 2017 was a warmer vintage, but not hot for Washington state. Early bud-break and a relatively cool spring allowed for a nice, full growing season into October. Looking for the fresher, more complex wines, we turned to our Canoe Ridge Estate vineyard. At 77% it is the largest this vineyard has ever been in the Artist Series; the site is maturing before our eyes, making the perfect combination of density and restraint. Another portion, 13%, is from Dean Canyon Vineyard, which is blended with Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon from Lawrence Vineyard (10%). This fruit brings color, weight and a touch of herb notes. This 25th anniversary vintage of Artist Series is going to be very special. Enjoy!
