Built from three vineyard sites renowned for opulence, this vintage has a sophisticated balance of rich juicy blueberry and vibrant red fruit with a long lustrous finish.

Notes of black cherry and spice are wrapped around beautifully elegant structure and a refined finish. A combination 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot, 6% Malbec and 2% Cabernet Franc make up this ‘Jazzy’ blend for our artist Jazz Brown. Enjoy his art and our wine!

THE ART OF WINE
Chateau Ste. Michelle’s Artist Series red blend celebrates the inspired collaboration between artisan winemaking and fine art. The 2019 vintage labels showcase artist Jazz Brown, an autodidact who uses acrylic paint to create vivid expressive compositions. Described as a philosophical painter, Jazz Brown’s artistic approach presents intense vibration through contrasting hues, shapes, and textures. He is inspired by both the Minimalism art movement and the Bebop jazz offspring from the 1960s. Brown describes his technique as “consciousnesses on canvas.”

Continuing the eight-year tradition of our most ostentatious Cabernet, we crafted this wine just for Druthers. Old vine Cold Creek Vineyard Cabernet picked at its peak was pushed to the limit in fermentation and aged in the finest oak. The resulting wine has decadent flavors, a robust mouthfeel, and an endless finish.

Dense, ripe tannins were accentuated by nice grip from the firm acid structure, and resulted in a very rich, full expression. Still everything you look for in Druthers; decadence, rich and ripe fruit, full tasty mouthfeel and almost (but not quite) too much of a great Cab!

The Block 9 Cabernet is an homage to blocks grown by some of our oldest vineyard partners. These mature vines create an elegant, structured wine with old-vine intensity. Deep raspberry and pomegranate flavors matched with subtle French oak leaves a silky texture and finessed finish. If only we all aged so gracefully!
