2016 Limited Release Sémillon
This year’s Sémillon was a stand-out! All of the fruit was sourced from our Horse Heaven Vineyard which is a cooler site that allows for extra hang time and flavor development. This Semillon is oily and rich while still retaining fruit, freshness and acidity. - Columbia Valley
2016 Limited Release Austral Red Wine
2016 marks the most complex Austral to date with 5 varieties in the blend: Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre, Cinsaut, and Counoise. Couple this with utilization of winemaking techniques such as stem inclusion and concrete fermentation, and it’s like baklava in a bottle, there’s so many sensory layers. - Columbia Valley
2016 Limited Release Malbec
Decadent flavors of boysenberry pie with chocolate notes show off the deep, dark yet complex flavors of this variety. This year’s version is a great blend of Indian Wells Vineyard with our own sites of Canoe Ridge Estate and Cold Creek. - Columbia Valley
2016 Limited Release Druthers Cabernet Sauvignon
Continuing the eight-year tradition of our most ostentatious Cabernet, we crafted this wine just for Druthers. Old vine Cold Creek Vineyard Cabernet picked at its peak was pushed to the limit in fermentation and aged in the finest oak. The resulting wine has decadent flavors, a robust mouthfeel, and an endless finish. - Columbia Valley
2016 Limited Release Cold Creek Red Wine Blend
Sometimes it's great just to give it your best shot with one mixed fermenter! This entire blend is a co-fermentation of one of our best Merlots (76%) and our one jammy block of Malbec (24%). The Merlot had to hang out awhile and wait for the Malbec to be perfect, but it is worth the wait. Enjoy! - Columbia Valley
2016 Limited Release Cold Creek Cabernet Franc
Cabernet Franc from Washington State has been a real treat to discover. As a late ripening variety, the grapes develop rich bramble fruits while retaining delicate botanic characters. The dense but gentle balance of this wine makes it a perfect dinner companion. - Columbia Valley
2016 Limited Release "The Nod" Merlot
Sometimes a Merlot can be too monolithic to be a good blending partner. For two vintages now I have gathered Merlots that fit this description, treated them gently during fermentation, and combined them to create a uniquely bold and expressive Merlot with luscious dynamic flavors and a smooth, weighty finish. - Horse Heaven Hills
2016 Limited Release Cabernet Sauvignon
Complexity was my goal for this vintage. I blended Cabernets from multiple blocks of four different vineyards spread throughout the AVA to create layers of chocolaty cherry and boysenberry fruit with intricate spices that evolve in your glass, while also staying true to the expansive yet smooth Horse Heaven Hills palate. - Yakima Valley
2016 Limited Release Boreal Syrah
Boreal begins with Syrah (94%) from Archie Den Hoed's Yakima Valley vineyards. The cooler site, along with more canopy, give us grapes perfect for this lighter more delicate style. Co-fermented with Viognier (6%) from our Canoe Ridge Estate Vineyard for floral notes to pair with the bright red fruit.Wine & Spirits - Horse Heaven Hills
2016 Limited Release Zinfandel
Classic Zin characters of light raspberry jam and toast, I added just a touch of Syrah to fill out the palate but still keep the wonderful Zinnyness. Enjoy! - Yakima Valley
2016 Limited Release Yakima Valley Red Wine Blend
This AVA is home to some of the oldest and most distinct grapes in Washington. We achieve a lighter style wine with an immersive, bright red fruit flavor. This Red Blend combines classic Rhone-style varieties of Syrah co-fermented with Viognier, Grenache and a unique Spanish variety, Graciano. - Horse Heaven Hills
2016 Limited Release Barbera-Syrah
Inspired by a Northern Italian wine blend, I was intrigued by their combination of Barbera and Syrah; Barbera for its high-toned cherry notes and brisk acidity and Syrah for its deep jamminess and sweet finish. Our Washington state version has this kind of wonderful point/counterpoint combination. - Horse Heaven Hills
2016 Limited Release Counoise
Counoise (pronounced ‘coon-wahz’) hails from France’s Rhone Valley. Often used for blending, this year’s fruit was destined for bottling as a single varietal. It displays spice akin to Mourvèdre with tannins and berry expression similar to Grenache; an intriguing wine to expand the palate and delight the senses. - Rattlesnake Hills
2016 Limited Release Syrano Syrah
Paralleling the famous play, Syrano showcases Syrah as a fresh, delicate, romantic wine; a departure from the traditional heavyweight for which the variety is best known. Whole cluster fermentation in concrete gives high tone red fruit, fine tannins and focused palate. Don’t worry, there’s plenty of panache! - Columbia Valley
2017 Limited Release Sémillon
Sémillon may be the most overlooked Noble Grape. It's unique and it's the backbone of great Bordeaux-style whites. In this vintage 64% of the wine fermented in neutral oak adding natural richness and 36% fermented in stainless steel to maintain vibrant flavors of fig, melon, and honey! - Columbia Valley
2017 Limited Release Boreal Syrah
This wine is a beautiful ensemble of Old World wine making flare. With 7% co-fermented Viognier, this Syrah is elegant and floral with aromas of dried red fruits, honeysuckle and cedar. The palate is a balance of complex bright red fruits, lifted texture and spice followed by a vibrant, savory finish. - Yakima Valley
2017 Limited Release Syrano Syrah
Syrah might be my favorite red variety – it proudly trumpets its terroir, and also responds to any technique orchestrated by the winemaker. I chose three cool Yakima Valley vineyards that retain acidity and fresh red fruit, and treated each with Viognier co-fermentation or whole cluster additions. - Columbia Valley
2017 Limited Release Grenache
One of the top 10 most planted grape varietals in the world, Grenache is an exciting varietal to work with. This 100% Grenache showcases aromas of strawberry, raspberry and spice. The silky tannins and dark fruit lend a generous roundness to the wine, leading to a soft, supple finish.
