Snipes Mountain2018 Limited Release Snipes Mountain Syrah
Snipes Mountain became Washington’s 10th official AVA in 2009, but first plantings of vines were as early as 1917. The steep terrain is decorated with boulders and gullies which generate brisk fog in the morning and intense sunshine in the afternoon. This Syrah is rich and concentrated. Enjoy with wild game or barbeque.

We love Washington Sémillon for its full body that also surprises your palate with lively flavors. To showcase this unique identity, the wine was mostly fermented in tank to highlight the zesty fruit, but we also blended barrel fermented wine to bring out the rich and creamy texture of the grape.

This wine is focused and packs a punch of lemon, lime and peach aromas followed by pin point acidity. It is mouthwatering and will pair extremely well with our bounty of Northwest seafood.
Rattlesnake Hills2021 Limited Release Grenache Blanc
This Rhone-style white wine offers superb freshness and crisp acidity. The majority was stainless steel fermented to highlight flavors of blood orange and white flowers. Some wine from neutral barrel was blended in, providing some body and texture. Enjoy!
Yakima Valley2021 Limited Release Dry Gewürztraminer
Flying M Farms provided the grapes for this expressive, complex, dry-style Gewürztraminer. Aromas of pink grapefruit, minerality, and ginger linger in the glass. The wine was fermented in our large format oak barrel and offers a luscious, velvety palate with hints of dried herb and coriander.

Wahluke Slope2020 Limited Release Échange Cabernet Sauvignon
Making our first organic wine at Chateau Ste Michelle was an exciting and nerve-wracking experience for the whole winemaking team. It is a commitment that requires the attention of every single person in the winery to ensure the organic wine is kept wholly separate. All equipment must be specially cleaned before use and all safety nets to ensure wine quality are removed. It is a risky business where many things can go wrong, and we are all very proud of the result of all our efforts. Our organic wine was blissfully unaware of the stress and effort surrounding its upbringing and made its way calmly into the bottle with all its raw and unadorned beauty intact.
Of course, the first requirement is organic grapes. Our grape-growing partner faced the same challenges of isolating the grapes from all other farming operations, and the removal of safety nets to protect the grapes from disease and pests. We are very grateful to have such capable partners in our efforts to create a wine that highlights our values of sustaining the land, the wildlife around it, our community, and our wine region.

Rattlesnake Hills2020 Limited Release Marsanne
This Marsanne fruit got split this year into a tank and barrel ferment. It went to barrel without yeast – wild– and it delivered. It has a rich, viscous palate, while still retaining fruit. The barrel portion was then blended with a bit of the tank ferment which adds verse and a bright fruit backbone.

A majority of this wine was fermented in one of our concrete tanks which adds depth & texture to this racy, citrus flavored wine. The wine has a natural minerality making this an excellent food wine. Impress all your guests by serving a wine with an umlaut (two dots) in the name!

This blend of Viognier, Roussanne and Marsanne delivers richness and structure. Some of the Viognier was fermented in stainless steel to lend a bright pretty fruit note. The remaining Viognier, along with the Marsanne and Roussanne, was fermented in neutral barrels adding a creamy texture.

This vintage is 98% Syrah co-fermented with 2% Viognier. The touches of Viognier dances with floral notes and accentuates the vibrant fruit of Syrah. Aged for 16 months in French oak, this wine is adventurous, balanced and fun.

This Grüner Veltliner combines racy acidity, minerality and citrus flavors with a velvety soft texture and floral aromas on the finish. It has tension and focus, but it has an inviting personality that will keep you coming back for another sip.

Specific to cooler sites, this wine showcases lifted floral notes, vibrant red fruits and delicate tannins.

This lively Marsanne is mostly tank fermented and expresses pear, melon and floral aromas and flavors in the glass. A touch of oak enhances the soft richness on the palate and lingering finish.

This dry white shows citrus and spice flavors that sit lightly on the palate, but also has great length. Most of the blend was fermented in stainless steel to show off the fruit, and a portion was fermented naturally in old barrels to add weight and depth.

The best part of the Limited Release program is the freedom to experiment! Instead of aging our 2018 Cinsaut in multiple small barrels, I decided to put about half into one giant oak tank – and I love the result! The delicate red fruit is pure and sweet with an added boost of freshness.
Columbia Valley2017 Limited Release Austral White Wine
For the Austral this year, we co-fermented a blend of Roussanne, Marsanne, and Viognier together in a barrel. The result is a seamless, rich wine. We layered tank-fermented Grenache Blanc and Roussanne for brightness while a touch more of Viognier from barrel brought ripe stone fruit and texture.

Three individual lots that highlight creative winemaking techniques were blended together to create this lovely and complex Syrah. Dark fruits, hints of spice, and a rich tannin structure offer layer upon layer to discover just like the vineyard itself.

This wine is a beautiful ensemble of Old World wine making flare. With 7% co-fermented Viognier, this Syrah is elegant and floral with aromas of dried red fruits, honeysuckle and cedar. The palate is a balance of complex bright red fruits, lifted texture and spice followed by a vibrant, savory finish.

Sometimes it's great just to give it your best shot with one mixed fermenter! This entire blend is a co-fermentation of one of our best Merlots (76%) and our one jammy block of Malbec (24%). The Merlot had to hang out awhile and wait for the Malbec to be perfect, but it is worth the wait. Enjoy!

The wine was primarily fermented in neutral oak for 5 months to offer a luscious velvety palate with hints of coriander and clove.

Columbia Valley2015 Limited Release Boreal Red Wine
This wine highlights the broad range of wine that can be made with Syrah. These Syrah (90%) grapes were co-fermented with Viognier (10%) in the style of Côte-Rôtie in Northern Rhône region of France. The Viognier brings a delicate character to the Syrah and together they create a wine with notes of orange blossom, raspberry brambles and red currants.

Looking for the fresher, more complex wines, I found myself turning to our Canoe Ridge Estate vineyard. At 77% it is the largest this vineyard has ever been in the Artist Series; the site is maturing before our eyes, making the perfect combination of density and restraint. 13% from Dean Canyon Vineyard, is blended with Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon from Lawrence Vineyard (10%). The 2018 vintage gave us a perfect combination of heat for ripening in the summer and a gradual cool down during harvest that allowed proper ripeness in the ideal timeframe. This year's blend is a special combination of Canoe Ridge Estate (39%), Cold Creek (26%), Kelly (18%), and Dineen (17%) Vineyards. The combination of warmer and cooler sites is the exact expression I look for in the Artist Series. The cooler sites provide dark cherry fruit, a touch of herbs and delicate harmony. The warmer sites give ballast and depth to add concentration and aging potential. This wine plays the perfect role of 'Old World' styling with "New World' structure.Jeb Dunnuck
