Character builds season after season in the growth rings of the old woody vines. Sun-drenched growing conditions with low rainfall result in small berries with full-bodied flavors. This Cabernet has broad-shouldered structure, concentrated fruit characters and deep color.

Like a chameleon, Chenin Blanc retains its distinctive identity, but also echoes its surroundings. This unique characteristic allowed me to capture a remarkable vintage and use wine from concrete, barrel and stainless steel to create the most complex wine possible with a balance of liveliness and lushness.

Hot, dry conditions and weak soils produce clusters of small berries with intensity and focused flavors. The wine is crafted to showcase the ripe fruit characteristics, incredible aromatics and concentrated tannins that reflect Washington state’s warmest growing region.

Heat throughout the growing season is moderated by the strong wind patterns while cool nights provide optimum conditions for flavor development. This complex and elegant wine has focused flavors and silky elegant tannins.

This wine shows the classic Horse Heaven Hills flavors of ripe dark cherries with elegant, fine tannins and layers of complexity.

The 2016 vintage will be remembered as the longest calendar vintage on record since we were harvesting grapes for three solid months. This allowed for some impressive hang time and resulted in a very ripe and rich wine with beautifully supple, elegant tannins.

Supple texture, remarkable depth and complex flavors are the hallmarks of Eroica XLC. Extended Lees Contact (XLC) is a modern interpretation of classic, Old World, dry-style Riesling. This wine is crafted in an upright oak cask and aged for 22 months on the full lees (spent yeast).

Cold Creek is one of Washington's oldest and most acclaimed vineyards. Warm, dry growing conditions and optimal irrigation provide canopy that allows dappled sunlight to slowly ripen the grapes resulting in ripe fruit intensity, followed by a crisp finish with a unique old-vine signature.

The 2011 vintage has aromas and flavors of white peach, grapefruit and sweet lime with subtle mineral notes—mouth-watering acidity is balanced by flavorful Washington fruit. After over a decade we have found our Eroica style: beautiful bright fruit with crisp acidity and enhanced minerality.

Classic Chardonnay with stone fruit and citrus character is a balanced and fresh style.

This is an ultra-rich, concentrated yet elegant wine with intense aromas of orange blossom, honey and sweet spice. Appealing flavors of ripe pineapple and honey lead to a long, luscious finish.

Supple texture, remarkable depth and complex flavors are the hallmarks of Eroica XLC. Extended Lees Contact (XLC) is a modern interpretation of classic, Old World, dry-style Riesling. In keeping with Germany’s Grosses Gewächs “GG” designation, this is a dry wine sourced from distinctive vineyards.

The Eroica Riesling Ice Wine is a luscious, ultra-ripe wine with concentrated aromas and flavors of apricot and honey. The concentrated acidity balances the wine leaving a bright, long finish. This wine is made in partnership with German winemaker Ernst Loosen, famed for his German Rieslings and Eiswein.

Looking for the fresher, more complex wines, I found myself turning to our Canoe Ridge Estate vineyard. At 77% it is the largest this vineyard has ever been in the Artist Series; the site is maturing before our eyes, making the perfect combination of density and restraint. 13% from Dean Canyon Vineyard, is blended with Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon from Lawrence Vineyard (10%). This fruit brings color, weight and a touch of herb notes. This 25th anniversary vintage of Artist Series is going to be very special. Enjoy!

Our 45-year old Cold Creek Vineyard makes up more than half of the blend and provides the wine's power and structure. This is the most complex of our Cabernets and offers layers of ripe blueberry fruit with silky tannins.
